The Revivalists’ “Wish I Knew You,” featured in the show’s season 7 finale, rules the April 2018 ranking.
A pair of No. 1 songs on Billboard’s Alternative Songs airplay chart in 2017 take the top two positions of The Hollywood Reporter’s Top TV Songs chart, powered by Tunefind and Shazam, for April 2018 -- and to boot, both were featured in the exact same episode of television.
Rankings for the Top TV Songs chart are based on song and show data provided by Tunefind and ranked using a formula blending respective Shazam tags, as well as sales and streaming information tracked by Nielsen Music during the corresponding period.
The Revivalists’ “Wish I Knew You,” which ruled Alternative Songs for one week last year (May 20, 2017), leads Top TV Songs after its April 25 appearance on the season 7 finale of USA’s Suits. In addition to being Shazamed 48,000 times following the episode’s air date, according to Shazam, the song snagged 9,000 digital downloads and was streamed 7.5 million times in April 2018, according to Nielsen Music.
