Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line's 'Meant to Be' Crowns Country Airplay Chart
Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line's "Meant to Be" ascends 2-1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart (dated April 28). The collab reigns in its 22nd frame, increasing by 3 percent to 41.3 million audience impressions, according to Nielsen Music.
FGL banks its 12th Country Airplay No. 1, the fourth-best total among duos or groups dating to the chart's Jan. 20, 1990, launch. Brooks & Dunn leads the category with 20 No. 1s, followed by Rascal Flatts (14) and Zac Brown Band (12). Tim McGraw leads all acts with 29 No. 1s.
"Meant" is the first Country Airplay leader for core pop artist Rexha, in her first visit to the tally.
On Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, which blends streaming, airplay and sales data, "Meant" posts its 21st week in the penthouse, trailing only Sam Hunt's "Body Like a Back Road" (34 weeks at No. 1 in 2017) and FGL's debut hit "Cruise" (24 weeks, 2012-13).
"Meant," which is being dually promoted to both country and pop radio, tops the all-genre Radio Songs chart for a third week (142 million impressions, up 4 percent) and leads the Adult Pop Songs airplay survey for a second week.
