"'I Am House' came to me when I posted a pic of myself wearing a t-shirt that said 'I AM HOUSE,'" Waters tells Billboard.
Crystal Waters, joined by DJ duo Sted-E (Edward Alcivar) and Hybrid Heights (Carlos Rosillo), finds a home atop Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart (dated April 21), as "I Am House" becomes her 12th leader (2-1). The track was remixed by Masters at Work, Kidzblock, and Jacob Colon, among many others.
Waters topped the chart with her first entry, "Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless)," in 1991, and has now waded to the summit with her last five consecutive charted titles.
"House" also joins "Synergy" (November 2015) and "Believe" (November 2016) as Sted-E and Hybrid Heights' third No. 1, all in collaboration with Waters.
