Kylie Minogue has her sixth U.K. No. 1 album, and first for eight years, as Golden (BMG) enters in pole position. Drake has another chart-topping single in the territory, just three weeks after his last, as “Nice For What” (Cash Money/Republic/Universal) makes a winning debut.
Minogue's new album has combined first-week units of 48,000, according to the Official Charts Company, bettering each of her last three releases. She first topped the U.K. album chart with Kylie in August 1988, and most recently with Aphrodite in July 2010. 6,400 of the unit total for Golden came on vinyl, making it that format's fastest-selling album of 2018 to date.
