Ricky Martin Collects 37th Top 10 on Latin Pop Songs Chart

Ricky Martin picks up his 37th top 10 on the Latin Pop Songs airplay chart, as his new single “Fiebre,” featuring Wisin & Yandel, lifts 15-9 in its third week on the list. The track jumps 23 percent in spins at the format in the week ending March 11, according to Nielsen Music.

The song was released on Feb. 23, following Martin’s live performance of the tune at the Emirates Airlines Dubai Jazz Festival.

Notably, out of Martin’s 48 charting titles on the Latin Pop Songs chart, 37 have reached the top 10. He continues to have the second-most top 10s in the tally’s 23-year history, trailing only Enrique Iglesias, with 41.

“Fiebre” is Martin’s first new entry on the chart since “Vente Pa’ Ca,” featuring Maluma, bowed on the list dated Oct. 15, 2016. It peaked at No. 1 for two weeks (Nov. 5-12).

Aoki Dances Into Top 10: DJ/producer Steve Aoki earns his first top 10 on a Latin airplay chart, as “Azukita” climbs 13-10 on the Tropical Songs airplay tally. The track is co-credited to Aoki, Daddy Yankee, Play-N-Skillz and Elvis Crespo. 

The song earned 2.2 million in audience impressions in the week ending March 11 (up 34 percent). It marks the 33rd top 10 for Daddy Yankee, the first for Play-N-Skillz and the 31st for Crespo. (Daddy Yankee is now tied with Gilberto Santa Rosa for the third-most top 10s on the list. Ahead of them: Victor Manuelle with 54 and Marc Anthony with 45.)

Three New Regional Mexican Songs Top 10s: On the Regional Mexican Songs airplay chart, three tracks enter the top 10 for the first time from Banda Los Recoditos, Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizarraga and Raymix.

Banda Los Recoditos collects its 12th top 10 as “Tiempo” bumps 14-8 (up 21 percent in audience). Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizarraga earns its 18th top 10 with “Tu Postura” jumping 13-9 (up 12 percent in audience). Lastly, Raymix gets his first top 10 with “Oye Mujer” surging 19-10 (up 61 percent, earning Greatest Gainer honors).
