Plus, EDEN debuts at No. 3 & Bazzi hits the top 10.

Country singer-songwriter Devin Dawson is the top emerging act in the U.S. for the first time, as he leaps 8-1 on Billboard's Emerging Artists chart (dated Feb. 3).

The 28-year-old's rise is powered by his debut LP Dark Horse, which opens at No. 5 on Top Country Albums and at No. 50 on the Billboard 200 with 11,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music.

The set's breakthrough single, "All on Me," hits the top 10 of the Country Airplay chart, rising 13-10 and gaining 12 percent to 26 million radio audience impressions. The single also reaches a new peak on the Hot Country Songs chart (No. 13) and matches its No. 81 Billboard Hot 100 high. It additionally increases by 16 percent to 4.6 million U.S. streams and 18 percent to 8,000 downloads sold.

The Emerging Artists chart uses the same formula as the all-encompassing Billboard Artist 100, which measures artist activity across multiple Billboard charts, including the Hot 100, Billboard 200 and the Social 50. However, the Emerging Artists chart excludes acts that have notched a top 25 entry on either the Hot 100 or Billboard 200, as well as artists that have achieved two or more top 10s on Billboard's "Hot" song genre charts and/or consumption-based "Top" album genre rankings.

Rounding out the Emerging Artists chart's top five, Russell Dickerson holds at No. 2; singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist EDEN debuts at No. 3 on the strength of his debut set Vertigo, new at No. 4 on Top Rock Albums and No. 34 on the Billboard 200 (14,000 units); MAX dips 3-4; and Walker Hayes falls 4-5.

Meanwhile, Bazzi vaults 27-7 on Emerging Artists, as the 20-year-old pop singer's debut single "Mine" arrives at No. 56 on the Hot 100. The track drew 11.4 million U.S. streams in the tracking week, up 88 percent, and starts at No. 46 on Streaming Songs. Bazzi (full name: Andrew Bazzi) began building a following on the since-shuttered Vine, as well as YouTube, where he sports over 100,000 followers.
