Lil Uzi Vert Heading for No. 1 Debut on Billboard 200 Albums Chart

XXXTentacion, Queens of the Stone Age, Fifth Harmony and Old Dominion are also aiming for high debuts.

Rapper Lil Uzi Vert is on course to debut at No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart, according to industry forecasters. Sources suggest his debut studio effort, Luv is Rage 2, could bow with over 110,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 31. The set was released on Aug. 25 through Generation Now/Atlantic Records.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the new Sept. 16-dated Billboard 200 chart (where Lil Uzi Vert will debut) is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, Sept. 3.

Luv is Rage 2 features the top 10-charting Billboard Hot 100 hit “XO TOUR Llif3,” which peaked at No. 7 in June.

Other albums aiming for high debuts on next week’s Billboard 200 include XXXTentacion’s 17 (with over 60,000 units), Queens of the Stone Age’s Villains (over 50,000), Fifth Harmony’s self-titled effort (40,000) and Old Dominion’s Happy Endings (35,000).
