The band's eighth studio album bows at No. 1 on Top Rock Albums, Alternative Albums & Hard Rock Albums.
Rise Against's Wolves howls onto Billboard's Top Rock Albums, Alternative Albums and Hard Rock Albums charts (dated July 1) at No. 1 with 29,000 equivalent album units (27,000 in pure sales) in its first week, according to Nielsen Music.
The Chicago-based band previously ruled all three charts with 2014's The Black Market and 2011's Endgame.
As it debuts at No. 9 on the all-genre Billboard 200, Wolves becomes the band's fifth straight studio set to reach the chart's top 10, a streak that began with the No. 10 debut and peak of 2006's The Sufferer and the Witness. The band's best rank on the Billboard 200 remains Endgame (No. 2).
