Haim's New Single 'Right Now' Tops Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 Chart

The track is the first single from the band’s upcoming sophomore studio album.

The wait is over! Haim is back with new music, and their new single “Right Now” hit No. 1 on the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart Thursday morning (April 27), shortly after its release. The song is the first single from the sister group’s upcoming sophomore album Something To Tell You, due out on July 7 through Columbia Records (and their first since 2014’s “My Song 5” featuring A$AP Rocky). The set is the follow up to the band’s debut full-length studio effort, 2013’s Days Are Gone, which debuted and peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.

The Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart measures the real-time acceleration of conversation around artists and their music on Twitter.

The new single first hit the Trending 140 chart around 7 a.m. ET Thursday morning and reached No. 1 shortly afterwards. The group also released a music video for the song directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood, Magnolia, Boogie Nights).

Haim will perform as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on May 13.
