Katy Perry Stays in 'Rhythm,' Earns 17th No. 1 on Dance Club Songs Chart

Perry ties Mariah Carey for the fifth-most leaders of all time on the chart.

Katy Perry tallies her 17th No. 1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart (dated April 22), as "Chained to the Rhythm," featuring Skip Marley, rises 2-1. All 17 of Perry's chart-toppers have led consecutively, as she extends her record for the most No. 1s in a row on the list.

Marley, meanwhile, reigns in his first visit to Dance Club Songs.

"Rhythm" rules the chart with the help of remixes from DJ Kue, Syn Cole and Marc Stout & Scott Svejda, among many others.

With her latest leader, Perry passes Jennifer Lopez and Kristine W and ties Mariah Carey for the fifth-most No. 1 songs in the chart's history, which dates to its 1976 inception as a national survey. Here's an updated look at the acts with the most No. 1s:
