The Chainsmokers perform at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards at The Forum on March 5, 2017 in Inglewood, Calif.

The track logs a 32nd week in the upper tier, matching the staying power of LeAnn Rimes' "How Do I Live."

The Chainsmokers' "Closer" kept getting closer to a noteworthy Billboard Hot 100 longevity record. Now, it's tied it.

As it holds at No. 10 on the March 25-dated Hot 100, the song, featuring Halsey, spends a 32nd week in the top 10, matching the mark for the most weeks logged in the bracket, dating to the chart's Aug. 4, 1958, inception. "Closer" equals the 32 weeks that LeAnn Rimes' "How Do I Live" accumulated in the top 10 in 1997-98.

"Closer," which spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 beginning Sept. 3, has charted all 32 of its weeks so far on the Hot 100 in the top 10 (dating to its Aug. 20 debut at No. 9), also a record for the most frames that a song has spent in the chart's top 10 from its debut.

The collab also holds the record for most weeks totaled in the Hot 100's top five: 27 (having passed the 25-week top 10 runs of "How Do I Live" and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk!," featuring Bruno Mars).

Here is an updated look at the hits to run up the longest stays in the Hot 100's top 10.
