The singer-songwriter's biggest successes since arriving with "The A Team."

Billboard is taking a look at Ed Sheeran's successful track record on the Billboard Hot 100, among other charts.

Sheeran has charted 27 songs on the Hot 100 since first arriving on July 28, 2012 with "The A Team," which would peak at No. 16 in January 2013. That track is from his debut album + (pronounced "plus"), which also features the Hot 100 hit "Lego House." Both songs also hit the top 10 on the Adult Pop Songs chart, establishing him as a folk-based troubadour.

Sheeran segued to a more mainstream pop sound for his 2014 sophomore set x (pronounced "multiply"), which generated his first Hot 100 top 10, "Don't" (No. 9). The album yielded two more top 10 smashes: ballad "Thinking Out Loud" (No. 2) and "Photograph" (No. 10). First single "Sing," a No. 13 hit, was written by Sheeran with Pharrell Williams, who produced the song.

+ reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (and has spent 198 weeks and counting on the tally), while x arrived as his first No. 1 (151 weeks to date).

Sheeran's third LP, ÷ (pronounced "divide"), arrives March 3. Lead single "Shape of You" became his first Hot 100 No. 1 (for 12 weeks). It debuted at the summit on Jan. 28, becoming just the 27th single in the Hot 100's history to launch at No. 1. The same week, fellow ÷ track "Castle on the Hill" bowed at No. 6 on the Hot 100, making Sheeran the first artist ever to debut two songs in the chart's top 10 in the same week.

The singer-songwriter has been nominated for 11 Grammy Awards, as both a performer and songwriter, and in 2016 won the song of the year and best pop solo performance awards for "Thinking Out Loud." Sheeran has also written hits for other artists. Most notably, he co-wrote Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself," which spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 and became the chart's top title of 2016. Sheeran has also written for The WeekndOne Direction and Lupe Fiasco.
