Adele’s 25, which won the Grammy Award for album of the year on Feb. 12, is heading for a return to the top 10 on next week’s Billboard 200 chart. Industry forecasters suggest the former No. 1 set could earn around 45,000 units in the week ending Feb. 16. (In the week ending Feb. 9, it earned 20,000 units according to Nielsen Music.)
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the new March 4, 2017-dated Billboard 200 chart -- which may boast a return by 25 -- is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, Feb. 19.
