The Weeknd rules for a 14th week, while Mayer hits a new high.

The Weeknd is the top musical act in the U.S., holding at No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated Feb. 11).

The Artist 100 (which launched in July 2014) measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.

The Weeknd leads the Artist 100 chart for a 14th total week, with streaming accounting for the greatest share of his chart action (32 percent), as his hit single "Starboy" (featuring Daft Punk) ranks at No. 4 on the Streaming Songs chart (23.4 million U.S. streams in the week ending Jan. 26, according to Nielsen Music). His album of the same name leads the Billboard 200 for a fifth total (and fourth consecutive) week, with 56,000 equivalent album units. Follow-up single "I Feel It Coming," also featuring Daft Punk, adds to The Weeknd's streaming total, ranking at No. 36 on Streaming Songs (10.1 million).

Ed Sheeran keeps at No. 2 on the Artist 100 and Drake rebounds 5-3.

John Mayer jumps back onto the Artist 100 at a new high of No. 4. (He previously spent a week on the tally, at No. 70, in December.) Album sales lead the way, accounting for 73 percent of his points on the chart, as his new EP, The Search for Everything: Wave One, debuts at No. 1 on Top Album Sales (38,000 copies sold) and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 (49,000 equivalent album units); of its pure sales, all were downloads, as it was sold exclusively through digital retailers. The four songs on the new EP will be included on Mayer's upcoming full-length album, The Search for Everything, due later this year. He plans to release four songs from the album each month, via EPs.

Rounding out the Artist 100's top five, Bruno Mars backtracks 4-5. Check out this week's entire Artist 100 here.
