Rap trio Migos is aiming for its first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as industry forecasters suggest the group’s new set, Culture, should open atop next week’s tally. Prognosticators suggest the album, which was released on Jan. 27 through Quality Control/300 Entertainment, could launch with perhaps 100,000 to 120,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Feb. 2.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the new Feb. 18, 2017-dated Billboard 200 chart -- where Migos could debut at No. 1 -- is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, Feb. 5.
