Plus, OK Go storms Hot Rock Songs, thanks to a new video, and moves for Alex Da Kid, Rag'n'Bone Man & Bleeker.

Green Day continues its ascent up the list of acts with the most top 10s on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart, as "Still Breathing" rises 12-8 on the chart dated Dec. 17.

The track, the week's greatest gainer with a 25 percent leap in airplay, according to Nielsen Music, is the trio's 22nd Alternative Songs top 10, dating back to its first entry, "Longview" (its first of 10 No. 1s), in 1994.

The new top 10 moves the band into a tie with Foo Fighters for the third-most since the chart launched on Sept. 10, 1988. Here is an updated ranking:

Most Alternative Songs Top 10s

25, Red Hot Chili Peppers

22, Foo Fighters
22, Green Day
19, Pearl Jam

"Breathing" is also the greatest gainer on the all-rock-format Rock Airplay chart, bulleting at No. 7 with 7.6 million audience impressions (up 16 percent).

OK Go's Newest Chart 'Moment': Yet another viral music video sparks chart action for OK Go, as "The One Moment" debuts at No. 11 on Hot Rock Songs. The song bows after the Nov. 24 premiere of its official music video, sponsored by Morton Salt, after initially appearing on the band's 2014 album Hungry Ghosts. "Moment" also drew 1.6 million U.S. streams and 2,000 in digital sales in the tracking week ending Dec. 1.

OK Go previously charted two tracks on Hot Rock Songs after the release of their buzzy corresponding clips: "The Writing's on the Wall" (No. 10) and "I Won't Let You Down" (No. 7), both in 2014.

Most famously, the band's 2006 single "Here It Goes Again" became its biggest hit after its video, featuring the quartet performing a choreographed dance on treadmills, broke big in the early days of YouTube and launched the song to No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100; it also hit No. 17 on Alternative Songs and Adult Pop Songs and No. 18 on Digital Song Sales.

'Easy' Does It: Multiple artists debut on various Billboard rock airplay charts for the first time, including writer/producer-turned-artist Alex Da Kid, whose "Not Easy" starts at No. 39 on Alternative Songs. The track, which features X Ambassadors, Elle King and Wiz Khalifa (the latter also making his Alternative Songs debut), previously reached No. 48 on Rock Airplay.

Rag'n'Bone Man, who also previously charted on Rock Airplay with "Human" (No. 44), moves that single over to Adult Alternative Songs, where it starts at No. 27.

Meanwhile, Bleeker makes its maiden appearance on Mainstream Rock Songs with "Highway," which bows at No. 40. The song has spent eight weeks on Alternative Songs, peaking at No. 31 so far.
