Brad Paisley performs at the Festival d'été de Québec on July 12, 2016 in Québec, Canada.

With only a month left on Brad Paisley’s 2016 touring schedule, the country king stands atop the weekly ranking of Hot Tours (see list, below) with ticket sales reported from August performances on his Life Amplified World Tour.

Concerts at seven outdoor amphitheaters in the U.S. and one venue in Canada drew a total of 111,603 fans. With $3.8 million in grosses reported from all eight venues, the ongoing tour’s overall box office sales figure climbs to $7.8 million since launching on May 19. At 16 headlining shed dates this summer, the superstar has played for more than 221,000 North American fans so far.

Brad Paisley's Donation Making Major Difference in West Virginia

Paisley kicked off the month on New York’s Long Island with a sold out performance at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on Aug. 4. The sold ticket count of 13,942 was about 1,700 more than his last stint at the venue during 2012’s Virtual Reality Tour, but is not his best-attended date during this summer’s jaunt. The highest sold ticket count was logged at Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Fla. with 16,972 fans present on Aug. 13.

With Tyler Farr and Maddie & Tae onboard as opening acts for the remainder of the run, the Life Amplified Tour’s homestretch will include seven amphitheater shows through Sept. 24 and a final festival appearance in Las Vegas on Oct. 1.

The Cure Delivers Career-Spanning Set at New York's Madison Square Garden

Following at No. 2 in the tally is The Cure with a box office take of $1.3 million from one sold out concert at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena. The July 25 show, attended by 14,061 fans, was one of the band’s six dates in Australia and New Zealand during July.

The Aussie leg followed a run of shows in the U.S. and Canada during May and June that kicked off the 2016 tour. With The Twilight Sad providing support, the North American leg marked the band’s first major road trek on the continent since the summer of 2008, although there have been festival appearances and other one-off dates stateside since then -- as well as concert runs in Latin America and Europe.

The Cure will return to Europe this fall with 36 performances booked from September through early December. The final shows will be in the band’s home country, a three-night engagement at London’s Wembley Arena on Dec. 1-3.
