"Needed Me" is Rihanna's fourth No. 1 of 2016 on the chart.

Rihanna rushes to the top of Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart (dated Aug. 20) for the second time in three weeks, as "Needed Me" rises 2-1. Remixed by Bimbo Jones, Cosmic Dawn and Barry Harris, among others, the track is Rihanna's 27th leader, second-most only to Madonna (46) in the chart's nearly 40-year history.

"Needed Me" is additionally Rihanna's fourth Dance Club Songs topper this year, following "Work" (featuring Drake, April 23), "This Is What You Came For," by Calvin Harris featuring Rihanna (July 9), and "Kiss It Better" (Aug. 6). Only four acts have scored four No. 1s in a calendar year, with Rihanna in the lead, having accomplished the feat four times (2016, 2011, 2010, and 2007). Lady Gaga (2011, 2009), Beyonce (2009) and Katy Perry (2014) have also achieved four No. 1s in a January-December span.
