Biffy Clyro's Ellipsis (14th Floor) has built a near-unbeatable lead in the race to the U.K. albums chart crown.

The Scottish band’s seventh LP is literally bullying its way to the top. At the mid-point of the chart cycle, Ellipsis is outselling the top five combined, according to the Official Charts Company.

Biffy's last studio album, 2013’s Opposites, was their first to reach the summit and, based on mid-week sales data, the new release “looks to be a dead cert” to do the same, the OCC notes.

The rest of the top five has a strong Glastonbury Festival theme with headliners Adele (25 is at No. 2 via XL), Coldplay (A Head Full of Dreams at No. 4 via Parlophone) and performers ELO (All Over The World at No. 5 via Epic) all appearing. Rick Astley’s former chart-topper 50 (BMG) is at No. 3 on the Official Chart Update.

The Avalanches’ comeback album Wildflower (XL) is poised for a top 10 debut; it’s at No. 6 on the mid-week chart. Another enigmatic electronic act, Aphex Twin, is currently at No. 8 with his Cheetah EP (Warp), which would equal the British performer’s personal chart best.

Drake's 'One Dance' Becomes Longest-Running U.K. No. 1 Single in 22 Years

The chase for the U.K. singles chart crown is much less processional. Drake’s "One Dance" (Cash Money/Republic Records) is on top of the Official Chart Update by just 2,000 combined sales over Kungs vs Cookin’ On 3 Burners’ “This Girl” (3 Beat). Drake’s hit has already led the singles survey for 13 weeks, making it the third-longest consecutive reign in the country's chart history.

Chainsmokers is close behind in third place on the Chart Update with "Don’t Let Me Down" (Disruptor), while Drake and Rihanna’s "Too Good" comes in a No. 4, and Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s “This Is What You Came” (Columbia) is at No. 5.
