Ed Sheeran's 'x' Album Hits 2 Million in U.S. Sales

It's been a good week for Ed Sheeran. Not only did the singer/songwriter score his first Grammy Award (song of the year, for "Thinking Out Loud"), but he also celebrates the song's parent album, x, reaching 2 million in U.S. sales.

The set, released in 2014, sold another 5,000 copies in the week ending Feb. 11, bringing its total sales tally to 2.04 million, according to Nielsen Music.

x, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, follows Sheeran's debut full-length effort, +. The latter has sold 1.1 million, and peaked at No. 5 on the chart.

x launched three top 10-charting singles on the Billboard Hot 100: "Don't" (peaking at No. 9), "Thinking Out Loud" (No. 2) and "Photograph" (No. 10).
