After garnering a best original song Academy Award nomination, Lady Gaga's "Til It Happens to You" debuts on its first Billboard airplay chart, entering the Adult Contemporary tally (dated Feb. 20) at No. 24.

The Diane Warren co-write is from the documentary The Hunting Ground, which examines campus rape, but its weighty subject matter isn't deterring programmers who are championing it. (The song's video also depicts assaults against women.) "We've gotten a lot of positive social media response," says WPEZ Macon, Ga., PD Brian Roberts.

"It starts out vulnerable and then defiant, just like the girls in this movie," Warren recently said of "Happen." "I wanted to write a song about what these girls went through and I wanted it to be empowering." Warren added that working with Lady Gaga was "amazing. She brought [the song] to life. When I brought it to her, it was a very somber ballad and she had this vision of making it this epic song."
