"I am so thankful to get to still be serving the Lord through music," Camp says.
Jeremy Camp crowns Billboard's Christian Airplay chart (dated Nov. 21) with "Same Power" (2-1). The soulful track, co-written by Camp, is the 37-year-old singer/songwriter's eighth No. 1, lifting him into a solo share for the third-most No. 1s in the chart's 12-year history. MercyMe leads with 13 toppers, followed by Casting Crowns (nine). Camp passes Chris Tomlin and Third Day, each with seven No. 1s.
"It has been such a blessing being able to do this for so many years," Camp tells Billboard. "I am so thankful to get to still be serving the Lord through music." "Power" is the second single from I Will Know, Camp's 10th studio album, following "He Knows," which led for two weeks in March. (Camp links consecutive No.1s on the chart for the first time since 2005-2006.) The LP bowed at No. 1 on Top Christian Albums (Feb. 21) and has sold 112,000 to date, according to Nielsen Music.
