Drake performs on Jan. 31, 2015 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The only other million-seller this year is Taylor Swift's "1989" album, which dropped in 2014.

Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late becomes the first album released in 2015 to sell a million copies in the U.S., as the set sold another 8,000 copies in the week ending Aug. 7, according to Nielsen Music. Its cumulative total now stands at 1.007 million.

Drake's Surprise Album Debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart

The album was released on Feb. 12 through Young Money/Cash Money/Republic Records and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

If You're Reading This It's Too Late is the second album to sell a million copies in 2015, after Taylor Swift's 1989 (which was released in 2014). 1989 has sold 1.463 million in 2015 and 5.124 million total.

If You're Reading This It's Too Late is Drake's fourth million-selling album, following Nothing Was the Same (released in 2013; 1.72 million), Take Care (2011; 2.26 million) and Thank Me Later (2010; 1.8 million).

UPDATE: Drake took to Instagram on Monday (Aug. 10) to celebrate the achievement.
