Singer hits his highest rank on the tally since last August.

Austin Mahone zooms from No. 48 to No. 10 on Billboard's Social 50 chart, in the wake of the release of his new single "Dirty Work." The track dropped on July 2, spurring Mahone's chart jump to his highest rank since the list dated Aug. 2, 2014 (when he was also No. 10).

“Dirty Work” is slated to be the lead single from Mahone’s (still unnamed) debut studio album. The single’s release caused a 304 percent bump in reactions across Instagram, Twitter and Vine in the week ending July 5, according to Next Big Sound. He adds a total of just over 100,000 followers across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Vine as well, up 8 percent from the previous week.

Above Mahone is fellow pop star Demi Lovato, who flies 12-3 thanks to the July 1 release of her single "Cool for the Summer." It's Lovato's best showing on the list in more than 20 months, since she ranked at No. 3 on Nov. 9, 2013.

"Cool for the Summer" is the first offering from Lovato's forthcoming fifth studio album and premiered at a Manhattan rooftop pool party event hosted by Z100 in New York. The track was released through Hollywood and Safehouse Records, the latter of which she launched in part with Nick Jonas (who partied with Lovato at another pool party, this time in Chicago).

That Instagram share, along with general buzz around the parties and single, contributed a 500 percent bump in weekly reaction on the platform, where she adds 352,000 new followers for the week. Lovato experiences a bump on Twitter as well, with over 1 million mentions and more than 719,000 retweets contributing to her and “Summer” reaching No. 1 on the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140.

Lastly, Zendaya climbs 24-14 to reach her highest position on the Social 50 since March 14 (No. 13). The 62 percent positive influx of points primarily comes from Instagram, where a full week’s worth of reactions to photos of her at the BET Awards (June 28) helped her garner more than 5.1 million likes for the week.
