The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The chart’s new top 10 will be revealed on Wednesday, May 6.
Stages features a bevy of famed tunes from the world of musical theater, including Les Miserables, A Chorus Line, Carousel and The Phantom of the Opera. The set boasts collaborations with six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald, Kelly Clarkson and Chris Botti.
Groban previously visited the top 10 with All That Echoes (No. 1 in 2013), Illuminations (No. 4, 2010), Awake Live (No. 8, 2008), Noel (No. 1, 2007), Closer (No. 1, 2004) and his self-titled debut (No. 8, 2002).
As for the rest of next week’s top 10 chart, watch for Zac Brown Band to claim their third No. 1 as the group’s Jekyll + Hyde is on course for the top. It could earn over 210,000 in overall units. Aside from Zac Brown Band and Groban, country singer Tyler Farr is aiming for his second top 10 album. His new Suffer In Peace could start with over 30,000 units.
