Fetty Wap rises 2-1 to crown Hot Rap Songs (dated April 4) with “Trap Queen,” earning the rapper his first chart-topper and ending Pitbull and Ne-Yo's seven-week No. 1 run with “Time Of Our Lives.”

An 11 percent increase in U.S. streams to 10.6 million in the week ending March 22 (according to Nielsen Music) assists “Trap’s” climb, while digital downloads reached 76,000 for the week (up 12 percent), its best sales frame yet. The 24-year old New Jersey-native also lifts 34-27 on Billboard’s Artist 100 chart, reaching his highest peak to date.

Rae Sremmurd Catches No. 1 with ‘Throw’: Rap duo Rae Sremmurd earns its first No. 1 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop airplay as “Throw Sum Mo,” featuring Nicki Minaj and Young Thug, hops 3-1. The chart summit nets Minaj her seventh topper, while Young Thug logs his second. The track, from Rae Sremmurd’s debut album Sremmlife, jumps 17 percent in spins at the format, also helping to push it 12-9 on Hot Rap Songs, earning the pair its third consecutive top 10.

Kanye Ties Personal Best: For a seventh week, Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s track “FourFiveSeconds” rules Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, tying West’s longest crowning run on the list. The last time was alongside Jay Z on “Ni**as In Paris” in 2011, when it he topped the chart for seven uninterrupted weeks. Of his total 79 charting tracks, seven have reached the top.

Kendrick Lamar Has 12 Tracks on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs:  Kendrick Lamar’s No. 1 arrival on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (and the Billboard 200), with To Pimp A Butterfly, spurs 11 tracks from set onto the chart, while “The Blacker The Berry” leaps 36-25. Lamar is now only one of six artists to tally 12 simultaneous songs on the ranking (Drake leads with 21). “King Kunta” takes the Hot Shot Debut, arriving at No. 22. Streaming aids in boosting the track onto the chart, logging 3.9 million domestic clicks during the tracking week ending March 22.
