Chayanne performs at Allstate Arena on Aug. 19, 2012 in Rosemont.

Latin star Chayanne lands atop the weekly recap of Hot Tours (see list, below), with box office grosses totaling just over $4 million from concerts at theaters in two Mexican markets. On the road in support of his most recent album En Todo Estaré, released last August, the Latin pop singer performed in five cities in Mexico during the first quarter of 2015.

Included on the schedule was a four-night engagement in Monterrey at Auditorio Banamex. From 26,859 sold tickets at concerts on Feb. 19, 20, 27 and 28, the native Puerto Rican grossed $2.6 million at the 7,000-seat performance venue. The second engagement included in this tally is a two-show stint on Feb. 24 and 25 at Guadalajara's Auditorio Telmex with 15,330 fans in attendance and $1.3 million in sales.  Latin American event producer OCESA promoted both dates.

Chayanne also performed in San Luis Potosí earlier in February and has concerts booked in Puebla and Mexico City in March. A North American trek of the En Todo Estaré tour is planned for August and September.

John Mellencamp follows in the second slot on the Hot Tours ranking with $1.9 million in sales from his Plain Spoken tour, supporting his latest album released in September.

With 16 shows from 12 cities already in the books following the tour's Jan. 21 launch, the veteran rocker is currently on the road in U.S. and Canadian markets with dates booked through early August. The reported concerts this week come from six cities, three of which hosted the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member for two-night runs. Fans from Mellencamp's home state of Indiana attended shows on Feb. 3 and 4 at Bloomington's Indiana University Auditorium, and he also played double-show dates in Minneapolis and Chicago. The Chicago Theatre concerts on Feb. 17 and 18 were sold out with sales totaling $620,777, his highest-grossing engagement among the three venues.

Since the Plain Spoken tour began in January, Mellencamp has grossed $3.4 million from the trek that features Carlene Carter as show opener. The seven-month tour, set primarily in theaters and performing arts centers, will stop at more than 70 venues during the run that is set to wrap on Aug. 4 in Indianapolis. On the schedule later this spring is a four-night stint in New York City with two concerts at Carnegie Hall on April 20 and 21 followed by a two-night run at the Apollo Theater on April 23 and 24.
