Following Prince Royce's performance on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live, the bachata star zooms to a new peak on the Social 50, flying 48-5. It's the first time the artist has broken the top 10 as well.

The Social 50 ranks the most popular artists on YouTube, Vevo, Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud, Wikipedia, MySpace and Instagram. The chart's methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with artist page views, song plays and reactions as measured by music analytics company Next Big Sound.

Prince Royce took the Kimmel stage on Feb. 24 to perform "Stuck On A Feeling," a single which features Snoop Dogg, and a slowed down rendition of "Extraordinary."

The Kimmel performance caused Royce to acquire more than half a million fans on Facebook in the week ending March 1, according to Next Big Sound (a 500 percent increase over the previous week), while simultaneously adding 315,000 followers on Instagram.

Elsewhere on the chart, Rita Ora profits from her performance on the Academy Awards (Feb. 22) as she re-enters at No. 26, partially owed to a surge in traffic to her Wikipedia page (up 33 percent for the week) and a 24 percent boost in likes to her Instagram posts. John Legend, who performed and took home the Oscar for best original song, re-enters at No. 33. The latest chart reflects the first full week of activity after the Awards.

In other Oscar-related news, Zendaya hits a new peak (32-13) after E!'s Giuliana Rancic made headlines with comments about Zendaya's dreadlocks at the Academy Awards. The remarks spurred a 575 percent increase to Zendaya's retweets for the week, helping her fly up the tally.

To recap the top 10, Taylor Swift remains at No. 1 for the third consecutive week, just above Ariana Grande who remains at No. 2. Katy Perry (4-3) and Selena Gomez (3-4) swap positions while Justin Bieber remains at No. 6. Justin Timberlake ascends (9-7) along with Jennifer Lopez (11-8). Beyonce slides (5-9) as Ed Sheeran moves 12-10 to anchor.
