Her three halftime show songs earn their biggest digital sales weeks ever.
Missy Elliott's sales surge following her guest turn during Katy Perry's Feb. 1 Super Bowl halftime show continues, as she rushes both the Billboard 200 and Digital Songs charts following a week's worth of impact after the big game. On the former chart, three of her albums return to the list (at Nos. 38, 40 and 66) while on the latter, she debuts at Nos. 9, 14 and 18 with the three tunes she sang during the halftime blowout with Perry -- and all three register their biggest digital sales weeks ever.
Collectively, Elliott sold 272,000 song downloads in the week ending Feb. 8 (up 282 percent compared to the 71,000 sold in the week previous). Her biggest seller of the latest week was "Work It" (one of the tunes she rapped at the Super Bowl), which debuts at No. 9 on Digital Songs with 83,000 downloads sold (up 300 percent). Her other two Super Bowl-performed tracks are her second and third-biggest sellers for the frame: "Get Ur Freak On" (No. 14 on Digital Songs with 78,000; up 316 percent) and "Lose Control," featuring Ciara and Fatman Scoop (No. 18 with 59,000; up 257 percent).
