Bryan's That’s My Kind of Night tour was the highest-grossing tour by a country artist in 2014

Country superstar Luke Bryan tops the weekly slate of top-grossing touring artists (see below) with the final 2014 box office stats reported from his That’s My Kind of Night Tour that wrapped for the year in late October.

His No. 1 Hot Tours ranking is based on $7.7 million in sold ticket revenue from the final eight outdoor amphitheater dates on his fall schedule, along with an arena performance to close out the year.

Bryan, winner of the Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year trophy back in November, launched the tour on Jan. 16 at Columbus, Ohio’s Schottenstein Center. The performance kicked off the first trek through 18 North American cities during the first quarter of the year. The second leg began in early May and continued through the end of September with 47 performances in 35 cities in the U.S. and Canada.

The final North American run started on Oct. 16 with outdoor performances in western U.S. markets including a sold out concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 25, the final shed date of the year. With $1.1 million in sales, the Georgia native played to a sellout crowd of 17,461 at the first of two consecutive performances in the Los Angeles area. The following evening, he played to a sold out arena crowd of 12,247 at The Forum in Inglewood, the final show on the fall schedule.

Bryan’s That’s My Kind of Night tour was the highest-grossing tour by a country artist in 2014, ranked No. 14 among all genres with $61.9 million in ticket sales.  Attendance topped the 1.2 million mark based on box office stats reported from 72 performances at U.S. and Canadian venues.

The tour is set to resume in 2015 with a fourth and final North American leg, kicking off on Feb. 10 in Grand Rapids, Mich.  After six U.S. arena performances in February, the tour heads across the pond for a seven-city swing through five European countries.  The final concert will be on March 8 in Dublin, Ireland.
