The Dixon twins officially arrived on Tuesday (Aug. 18), according to People.
Annie Dixon also shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting the same photo as her husband, and adding that Ava was born weighing 7 lbs., 1 oz., while Athens weighed 5 lbs., 6 oz.
"Baby girls are here," she captioned the photo. "We have taken a few quiet days to enjoy their presence ... Ava Dior and Athens Elizabeth, your parents are CRAZY about you!"
In late July, Colton Dixon hosted a Billboard Live At-Home performance to help support the Red Cross amid the coronavirus pandemic. During the virtual appearance, the singer said he didn't know if he'd be able to join the series because his wife could go into labor at any time.
"I'm actually really glad that I was able to be here with you all, because if we were at the hospital, it wouldn't have worked out," he told fans. "Be praying for us -- it's going to be awesome. Can't wait to meet them."
Dixon married his longtime girlfriend Annie Coggeshall in 2016.
