Pink blazes a trail to No. 1 on the real-time Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart with "Just Like Fire," her new single from the soundtrack of the forthcoming Disney film Alice Through the Looking Glass.

Pink Shares Original Song 'Just Like Fire' for 'Alice Through the Looking Glass'

The Trending 140 measures the acceleration of conversation around artists and their music.

The singer dropped the tune to digital retailers and streaming services at midnight ET (April 15), tweeting, "when the clock strikes midnight…" In addition to "Fire," Pink also appears in the Looking Glass trailer with a cover of Jefferson Airplane's 1967 Billboard Hot 100 top 10 "White Rabbit."

"Fire" reunites Pink with pop titans Max Martin, Shellback and Oscar Holter, who wrote the song with her (the trio produced it). Pink, Martin and Shellback previously struck gold (and Platinum) with some of her biggest hits, including two of her four Hot 100 No. 1 hits: "So What" and "Raise Your Glass."

The official video for "Fire," directed by Dave Meyers, is set to debut in early May, ahead of Looking Glass' opening in U.S. theaters May 27. The film stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Sacha Baron Cohen, and includes vocal work from Alan Rickman, in one of the actor's final roles.

The single marks Pink's first new material since last year's "Today's the Day," which she recorded as the theme for The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Pink's last solo studio album, The Truth About Love, was released in 2012 and became her first No. 1 on the Billboard 200. After being named Billboard's Woman of the Year in 2013, Pink detoured to the folk album Rose Ave. in late 2014, a collab with City and Colour's Dallas Green. Billed as by You+Me, the set opened at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on Folk Albums.
