Iggy Azalea is back: The rapper’s single “Team” scores the No. 1 rank on the real-time Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart on Friday (March 18), becoming the most shared and discussed track on the social-media network for five straight hours through noon ET.
The Trending 140 chart measures the acceleration of conversation around artists and their music, while the Emerging Artists chart measures the volume of tweets around new artists and their songs.
Azalea dropped the track at 7 a.m. along with a dance video on her Vevo channel, featuring several denim-clad dancers performing a slick, choreographed routine, although the Australian herself is absent from the clip.
“Team” is the lead single from the rapper’s upcoming second studio album, Digital Distortion, due later this year. The set follows her 2014 debut, The New Classic, which contained the Billboard Hot 100 hits “Fancy” (featuring Charli XCX; No. 1 for seven weeks) and “Black Widow” (featuring Rita Ora; No. 3).
Azalea released another potential Distortion track, “Azillion,” on SoundCloud on Jan. 8.
