The singer, whose new album Purpose was released today (Nov. 13), launched 10 songs into the top 10 of the chart -- all from the new album.
The Trending 140 chart measures the acceleration of conversation around artists and their music, while the Emerging Artists chart measures the volume of tweets around new artists and their songs.
Beginning at noon ET, Bieber began tweeting each song name from Purpose in chronological order, generally including a quick comment, GIF or video to go along with it. Each song hashtag included a custom emoji created just for the tracklist -- "I'll Show You" features a Skrillex emoji, for example (as Skrillex produced the track). Once it was tweeted out by Bieber, the song correspondingly shot up the Trending 140.

"Children," "Mark My Words" and "No Sense" are among the previously unreleased tracks that have jumped to No. 1 today following their release and Bieber's subsequent promotion.
The top 10 domination comes after the buzz around "Victorious," a recent song from Panic! at the Disco, died down following the release of its music video this morning. One Direction, whose Made in the A.M. was also released Nov. 13, has also placed multiple songs in the higher reaches of the chart, with the group taking up seven of the spots 11-20 at press time.
