The song leaps toward the top after Liam Payne tweets an eight-second clip.

One Direction probably know their fans quite well by now: release even a few-second snippet of a song and chances are it could shoot to the top of the real-time Billboard + Twitter's Trending 140 chart.

After the group's Liam Payne posted a video on Twitter of  him singing -- or more accurately, mouthing along to -- 1D's new song "Olivia," the track shot to No. 2 on the Trending 140, blocked from the peak only by Ariana Grande's new single "Focus," which was released on Friday (Oct. 30) with an accompanying video.

The song is from One Direction’s upcoming fifth album, Made in the A.M., due out Nov. 13.

"I shouldn't really be doing this but!" Payne tweeted with the eight-second clip.

The song previously peaked at No. 18 yesterday, Oct. 29.

If it ends up at No. 1, "Olivia" will join previous leaders "Drag Me Down," "Perfect” and “Infinity” as No. 1s from the new album.
