Radical Sabbatical was created by women-owned boutique live event business Clocktower Experiences, based in St. Louis.
“With so many in-person concerts and experiences being canceled, we wanted to help people connect over their shared love of the ‘80s, and usher in a new year with this ultimate throwback to one of the best decades,” said Clocktower Enterprises co-owner Claire Young in a release. “Whether you’re still rocking a perm, or just someone who loves good music and live entertainment, we guarantee there will be something for everyone at this event.”
The virtual festival will also see appearances from Ray Parker Jr. who wrote the Ghostbusters theme song, songwriter Jim Peterik and Jefferson Starship’s Cathy Richardson, The Voice contestant Moriah Formica and more. Claudia Wells of Back to the Future fame and rock and roll photographer Mark Weiss will also make live appearances.
“During this particularly challenging year for the live music industry, we decided to invest our resources in a safe and entertaining event that will also provide meaningful human connections,” added Young. “We are also particularly proud that this event is putting hundreds of people back to work during a time that many in this industry are struggling so much.”
Passes for Radical Sabbatical start at $99.80 with the opportunity to purchase add-ons including a meet and greet with Sebastian Bach, Mixology Madness kit and a Back to the Kitchen Cookbook. Tickets and more information can be found here.
