AEG Presents will offer fans 30-day windows to receive refunds for concerts impacted by the coronavirus, starting May 1.

According to a representative for AEG, ticketholders will have 30 days following the announcement of an event's postponement to seek a refund from the promoter. For example, if an event announces its rescheduling on May 15, the customer will have until June 14 to request a full refund.

The May 1 start date will also cover events that announced rescheduled dates in March and April.

Tickets for shows that have yet to be rescheduled will not be eligible for refunds until new dates are announced.

For AEG events canceled due to the coronavirus, fans can expect an automatic refund.

AEG Presents promotes thousands of concerts and music events each year, including Coachella, Stagecoach, Hangout Fest and more.

AEG's refund policy announcement follows a $5 million class action lawsuit filed against StubHub over the secondary ticketing platform's policy change to only offer coupons worth 120% of the purchase price of purchased tickets in lieu of refunds. StubHub's refund policy went into effect March 20 -- after most large gathering bans were enacted across the U.S. due to the coronavirus pandemic.
