Dropkick Murphys will return to their hometown of Boston next St. Patrick’s Day for six headlining shows in five days throughout the city.
The Boston Blowout, as it's being called, will run March 13-17 and kick off with a special in the round performance at Encore Boston Harbor on March 13 and conclude on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, at House of Blues Boston.
On March 14, the group will perform two shows at the House of Blues Boston including a matinee performance and an evening acoustic set followed by a full professional boxing card presented by Murphys Boxing. The shows will continue with another House of Blues Boston show on March 15 followed by a March 16 show at Big Night Live.
"I’m very excited for next year's St. Patrick’s shows,” said Dropkick Murphys’ founder Ken Casey in a release. “It’s all about Boston this year -- we aren’t doing any other shows in March. Three different venues over five days -- two of which we’ve never played before. And we are very, very excited to play our first show in the round -- at the new Encore Boston Harbor. Being surrounded by the audience on all sides is going to be so fun!"
Tickets for the 2020 Boston Blowout go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. EST.
