Brian Robert Jones and Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend perform on day 3 of Lollapalooza at Grant Park on Aug. 4, 2018 in Chicago.

Following YouTube's annual Brandcast event on Thursday (May 2), the video streaming behemoth announced that its livestream of Coachella Weekend 1 scored 82 million live views, an increase over last year's numbers of over 90 percent.

As part of its initiative to "[double] down on music festivals," YouTube also revealed that it would be starting a new two-year partnership to livestream Lollapalooza this August. In addition to the livestream of the festival itself, viewers will be able to access additional content with artists playing the festival.

The three-day event takes place in Chicago's Grant Park from Aug. 1-4 and features headliners Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, Twenty One Pilots, The Strokes, J Balvin, Lil Wayne, and the Chainsmokers, among others.
