Indie-pop stalwarts Foster the People have released their newest single “Style.” In the brand-new song, the Los Angeles natives break into a dance-friendly distorted guitar intro with catchy opening lyrics. “We’re born to die/ So I’m going to fight for how I want to live/ Spark up the riots/ Guess I’m a criminal and a futurist.”

“Style” follows up recent singles “Worst Nites” and “Sit Next to Me,” which have racked up millions of streams.

Lead singer Mark Foster plays the conductor role, leading the group’s foray into a garage-rock vibe. Synthesizers and a drum pattern complement the track’s flow as the chorus says to “Take me out in style.”

While fans can rejoice in the new anthem, a future album has not officially been announced yet at press time. The band’s last album, Sacred Hearts Club, was released in 2017.
