Greg Dorfman to Lead Promotions Across Elektra Music Group

Warner Music mainstay Greg Dorfman has been promoted to executive vice president, promotion for Elektra Music Group, it was announced today. The 25-year WMG veteran will now be in charge of the day-to-day operations of promotions for EMG labels, including Elektra, Fueled By Ramen and Roadrunner.

Dorfman joined the Elektra fam in 1994 and was most recently senior vp of alternative promotion, where his most recent win includes a 12-week run atop Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart for All Time Low’s "Monsters." Over the years he has played a major role in breaking major Elektra rock artists, including Twenty One Pilots, Panic! At The Disco, Paramore, and Young The Giant.

Dorfman got his start in the biz music doing radio promotion for Warner before joining Elektra’s alternative radio department. He also held posts at the company’s Lava and Fueled By Ramen/Roadrunner labels, and helped launch EMG in 2018. Dorf is based in New York and reports directly to EMG co-president Mike Easterlin.
