Rising alternative pop force Rei Ami has signed with Visionary Records, Billboard can exclusively announce.
The South Korean-born, Maryland-raised talent began making waves in Fall 2019 with a string of commanding singles topped by “Snowcone” in October, which has since garnered over 5.5 million views on YouTube alone. Under her immediately distinctive stage name that combines the alter egos and competing personalities of two Sailor Moon characters, Rei Ami's style shifts from hip-hop to bedroom pop and every vibe in between.
For Visionary, it’s yet another addition to their growing roster since its founding under Chris Zarou in 2019 after a partnership with Sony Music Entertainment. In 2020, the label has thus far released emerging Florida rapper LBS Kee’vin’s Belair Baby in April and Sarah Barrios’ debut EP Letters I Never Sent in July.
