JN Records president Juan Hidalgo and vp Nelson Estévez have opened new offices in Mexico, where they joined forces with Televisa for future projects.

“This alliance with Televisa points more towards entertainment,” Hidalgo and Estévez tell Billboard.

Humberto Carrera, executive director of JN Records Mexico, added, “We have a company called Nomada Films, which is a movie producer for movie theaters. In Mexico, this company is based on a global distribution alliance that we have with Videocine (Televisa Cine), together with Videocine we work from the development of the scripts to the final distribution.”  And, of course, the package includes the music.

Based in Miami, Florida, for over 35 years, JN Records also counts regional offices in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Their catalog includes artists such as Magic Juan, Alexandra, Tito Rojas and Eddy Herrera, who recently released an album called Sombras paying homage to Javier Solís

“For us it is very important to expand our operations to a market that is important in the entertainment industry as it is Mexico, a country to which we have a lot of thanks for the successes obtained in the past,” said Hidalgo.
