The album will be his first since his 2012 full-length 'Out of the Game.'
Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright has signed a global recordings agreement with BMG to release his forthcoming studio album, the company announced Tuesday (Oct. 15). Described as a return to form and his “most accessible album to date,” the as-yet-untitled album -- Wainwright’s ninth of original material and his first with BMG -- will serve as the bookend to his 1998 self-titled debut.
“Excited to join the BMG family,” Wainwright said in a statement. “I have been feeling the love worldwide. The record business certainly has changed and I have to say with BMG it has changed for the better.”
