Tezzel Joins Universal Music Latin Entertainment as Executive Producer: Exclusive

Tezzel signed exclusive deal with UMLE 

Colombian producer Mateo Cano, also known as Tezzel, has signed an exclusive deal with Universal Music Latin Entertainment as executive producer. He will be in charge to develop new talent for the label.

"I feel very fortunate to join Universal Music family, I have always considered it an honor to be here, fulfilling my dream," says Tezzel. "This motivates me to work much more for my projects and infinite thanks to the people who have accompanied me in this process."

Tezzel’s career began in 2007, he mainly focuses on electronic music and has worked with artists such as J Balvin, Reykon, Mario Bautista, Mariah, Abraham Mateo, Pitizion, Cali and El Dandee; as well with other producers like Sky and Mosty. In 2016 he founded his own record label, Tezzla, dedicated to the development of new projects with artists such as Vibarco and Lorduy. He positioned Lorduy as a member of Piso21.

"Tezzel combines a knowledge of the market and business with a great ability to identify talent and production," says Alejandro Duque, managing director, Universal Music Latino, Machete Music, Capitol Latin. "It is really a unique profile and we are happy to join the Universal family."
