Oscarcito arrives at the 21st annual BMI Latin Awards at the Bellagio on March 11, 2014 in Las Vegas.

Venezuelan singer-songwriter Oscar Eduardo Hernández has renewed his contract with Sony ATV.

The artist, who initially signed with Sony ATV in 2013,  confirmed the news on Instagram.  “I’m happy to stay many more years. Incredible songs are coming,” he wrote.

Hernández, who is  artistically known as Oscarcito, scored his first No. 1 (as songwriter) on  Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs back in 2013 when Victor Manuelle’s “Si Tu Me Besas” topped the list. Since then, he has been working with Latin superstars such as Jennifer Lopez (“El Anillo”),  Alejandro Sanz featuring Marc Anthony (“Deja Que Te Bese”), Yandel (“Fantasía”) and, recently, Ricky Martin (as a co-writer on “Tiburones").
