Former Warner Chappell executives Katie Vinten and Alicia Pruitt have joined together to produce a songwriters camp at Nashville’s Oceanway Studios March 2-4 that will bring together top songwriters from all genres.

Since leaving Warner Chappell in 2018, Priutt formed Madfun Entertainment with Red Light Management, while Vinten co-founded Facet Records with songwriter Justin Tranter and Warner Bros. Records, as well as Facet Publishing (also with Tranter) in 2018, and added a management company, Black Diamond Artist Management, last September. Both women remain consultants for WC.

"When we first spoke about the retreat we looked at this event as a time for communities to come together and relationships to be built amongst superstar talents in the industry,” Vinten and Pruitt told Billboard in a statement. “ We wanted to include songwriters that work well in all genres of music and bring them together in Nashville for a few days of writing and recording. We are involving [performing rights organizations] and record labels as well for various hangs throughout the week so they can interact with the songwriters and get to know them. It’s simply about the connection of greats all around.”

Labels are hosting events during the camp, including a Universal Music Group Nashville bowling night at Pinewood Social and a Warner Music Nashville pizza and trivia party. On the final night of the camp, the Listening Room will host a writers round featuring participating songwriters.

All of the LA-based writers, including Tranter, are either managed or published by Vinten, while Pruitt manages camp participants Josie Dunne and Brock Berryhill. “The other writers were chosen because of the type of writer and vibe they bring to the camp,” Pruitt says. “This camp is about building community and these writers were chosen by what they do musically and/or lyrically and the worlds they can cross over into.”

While Pruitt says her goal for the camp is that “everyone has a great time and connect on a human and musical level,” such sessions often yield songs that lead to future cuts or licensing synchs. She adds that she and Vinten will possibly organize another camp in Los Angeles in the fall.

The list of participating songwriters are:
