De La Ghetto has signed a global publishing administration deal with peermusic, Billboard has learned. The deal includes his future work and the entire back catalog.
The announcement was made Thursday morning (Jan. 30) by Kathy Spanberger, president & chief operating officer - peermusic; Julio Bagué, vice president, Latin Division, East Coast & Puerto Rico, peermusic; and Yvonne Drazan, vice president, Latin Division, West Coast, peermusic.
"At peermusic we have always been known to work with songwriters of the highest quality in each genre," Bagué said in an official statement. "De La Ghetto is a consummate wordsmith who brings an amazing singing voice and a unique vision to the Latin urban market. Having been one of the pioneers of the reggaetón genre, whether it’s trap or latin pop, he has always been on the cutting edge. I am proud and honored to begin working with Geezy and to welcome him to the peermusic family."
