DJ and producer Dillon Francis has signed a global publishing agreement with Big Deal Music Group and Diplo’s Mad Decent Publishing, it was announced Monday (Nov. 25). The deal is the first under the joint venture formed between Big Deal and Mad Decent this past February.

“Dillon has built a hugely loyal fanbase driven by his solo recordings, his incredible collaborations and his live shows and Mad Decent has been with him every step of the way," said Jamie Cerreta, co-president of Big Deal Music Group. "We are thrilled to be able to play a role in Dillon's career moving forward.  He's a one of a kind artist, fiercely independent and creative, all of which make him a perfect fit for us at Big Deal.”

The agreement covers Francis’ latest release -- the seven-song mixtape Magic Is Real put out by Mad Decent earlier this month -- and all his releases moving forward.

“We’re incredibly excited to have Dillon as the center point of this new endeavor,” said Dillon’s manager Nick Palmacci. “Both creative teams combined are quite a powerful force in the birth of innovative and groundbreaking songwriting for decades to come.”

Francis’s releases include the 2014 album Money Sucks, Friends Rule and the 2015 EP This Mixtape Is Fire, which charted at No. 2 and No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Album Sales chart, respectively; his 2014 single “Get Low” with DJ Snake also rose to No. 61 on the Billboard Hot 100. This year, he contributed the track “Catchy Song” to the soundtrack for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.
