“People around the country got to watch me on Video Soul for many years, but didn’t get to check me out on my first Love, radio. Only Detroit and DC would suffer that experience,” said Simpson in a statement. “So I’m really excited for the rest of the country to finally hear what I do ON THE RADIO.”
Glassnote has appointed Ryan Payne as global head of marketing. Payne was previously head of marketing.
Since joining Glassnote in 2015, Payne has spearheaded creative marketing for releases by Mumford & Sons, Childish Gambino, Phoenix, CHVRCHES and Jade Bird. He's also helped develop the careers of Aurora and The Teskey Brothers.
Payne was named a Billboard Branding Power Player in 2019 for leading the charge on a full-length film collaboration between Mumford & Sons and National Geographic for the band’s No. 1 album, Delta.
Dani Deahl has been appointed editorial director at Output, a developer of software and sound libraries for musicians. Deahl will lead Output’s editorial strategies via the company’s new branded content division, reporting to vp of marketing Joey Ng.
Deahl most recently led consumer music technology coverage at The Verge, where she handled artist relations and produced and hosted the outlet’s sponsored video series The Future of Music. Prior to that, she worked in editorial roles at NYLON and DJ Mag for over ten years. She currently serves as vp of the board for the Recording Academy’s Chicago chapter.
“It’s an exciting time to join Output,” said Deahl, who also works as a music producer. “Music production and media are foundational parts of my life, and I am both proud and grateful to take on this new role alongside such a passionate, creative team. I look forward to breaking new ground in 2021 and building on Output’s previous success.”

Founded in 2013 by composer Gregg Lehrman, Output’s software has been used by artists including Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar and Diplo as well as to score films and TV shows such as Stranger Things, Game of Thrones and Black Panther. In October, the company raised a $45 million Series A investment from Summit Partners.
Jackie Post has been named head of publishing at Connection Music Publishing, a new venture announced by Glassnote founder and president Daniel Glass and general manager and chief financial officer Chris Scully.
“We are excited to build a high quality publishing company that will be a nurturing home for songwriters,” said Glass in a statement. “With Jackie’s experience, relationships and respect for songwriters, our writers will get the personalized and focused attention that is so crucial to their craft.”
Post hails from Kobalt, where she was involved in client relations and later business development, where she sought out catalog acquisition and administration opportunities. She has also worked in business affairs at BMG Music Publishing and Sony/ATV.
Brad Levin has been promoted to senior vp, finance at Sony/ATV. He will report to global chief financial officer Tom Kelly out of the company’s New York office.
Levin’s responsibilities include financial reporting and analysis, technical accounting research, offering guidance and support on deal negotiations and other finance-related projects. During his nearly decade-long run at Sony/ATV, Levin has worked on crucial initiatives including the integration of EMI with Sony/ATV in 2012 and its full acquisition in 2019, as well as the purchase of the Michael Jackson estate’s 50% equity interest in the company in 2016.
In 2002, Levin joined Sony Corporation of America as a staff auditor in the company’s corporate audit department. He joined Sony/ATV in March 2011 and rose to the role of vp, finance in May 2015. He previously worked at public accounting firm Arthur Andersen.
Oak View Group Facilities has hired Marc Mulherin as general manager at the Fort Smith Convention Center and Mark Arancibia as general manager at the Jackson Convention Center Complex. Additionally, the company announced that Cherre Miller will return to the Jackson Convention Center Complex as assistant general manager.
Oak View Group (OVG) was selected to operate the Fort Smith Convention Center beginning on Jan. 1, 2021. Mulherin will lead the company in selling and marketing the venue, securing live entertainment and bringing in more meetings and conventions, consumers and trade shows and local corporate and social events.
Prior to joining OVG, Mulherin served as general manager at the Branson Convention Center in Branson, MO for over six years. Prior to that, he was assistant general manager at McCormick Place in Chicago, food and beverage director at TD Garden in Boston and director of catering at Lancaster County Convention Center in Lancaster, PA. He also worked for Aramark, where he led food and beverage sales for convention centers around the U.S.
Arancibia was most recently the interim general manager for the Las Cruces Convention Center in Las Cruces, NM. Prior to that, he served as vp of operations and general manager, LAFC Banc of California Stadium. Between 2015 and 2019, he was assistant general manager of the Tucson Convention Center. He also worked as director of operations for the Irving Convention Center in Irving, TX.
Miller was most recently area director of sales and marketing for the Kana Hotel Group of Jackson, MS. She previously worked for 10 years as director of event services, security and overseer of the third party audio visual company for the Jackson Convention Complex, which OVG began operating on Oct. 1, 2020.
OVG also recently added the Charleston Convention Center in Charleston, WV and the Fredericksburg Expo and Convention Center in Frederick, MD to its management portfolio.
Warner Chappell Music France has named Michèle Domi senior artistic director.
Domi has helped develop artists including Axel Tony, Florent Pagny and Indila and has signed songwriters including Nazim, Skalp and Tal. She additionally signed an admin agreement with El Editions, which led to Warner Chappell co-publishing the work of singer-songwriter Vianney.
Beginning her career as an A&R assistant, Domi rose to become artistic director of Universal Music Publishing France and was later named artistic director at Capitol Records. In 2017, she founded Fix It Music Agency, where she served as an artist manager and independent music consultant.
John Ozier, executive vp creative at Reservoir Media Management, has been named national chair of the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP). Ozier succeeds Teri Nelson-Carpenter, who will remain president of the organization’s Los Angeles chapter.
AIMP national chairs are chosen by the executive committee from among the organization’s three chapter presidents in Los Angeles, New York and Nashville, with each serving one two-year term. Ozier has been president of AIMP’s Nashville chapter since 2015.
Venture capitalist and former Yahoo! senior executive Marvin Liao has joined the advisory board of global fintech fan investment and commerce platform FanVestor, which allows celebrities to “leverage their influence” by offering fans opportunities to participate in their latest projects or charitable initiatives.
An investor, executive coach and formal advisor to a number of large family offices, Liao previously worked as a partner at Venture Capital Fund 500 Startups, where he ran the San Francisco-based accelerator program and invested in seed stage startups. He worked at Yahoo! for more than a decade.
Liao joins former DASAN Zhone Solutions president/CEO Yung Kim and former PINTEC executive Alan Qiu on the FanVestor advisory board. The company’s leadership team and board of directors includes founder Michael Golomb, COO Larry Namer, former News Corp. executive Marty Pompadur and former Warner Bros. Music CEO Phil Quartararo.
